Disaster Management Activities

The Sindh Province and specially district Sanghar has been dangerously hit by recent monsoon rains which alarmingly continued for about two months resulting in devastation of agriculture, infrastructure and death of live stock in huge number.  This traumatic situation has collapsed the social fabric in district Sanghar. Sanghar popular from its agro based industry has to shook to knees due to huge amount of devastation.  SHWO being Sanghar based Organization found it as pre requisite to come shoulder to shoulder with their Sangharaitee brothers.  SHWO has established teams of its volunteers to come to help with the people besieged in the stagnant water and take out those who were under water from many days. 

SHWO also realized another acute need of the shortage of food stuffs and pure drinking water.  Seeking philanthropist help and managing from its own sources SHWO team almost visited every established camps throughout the district and had remained in coordination with district government for pursuing this noble task of rehabilitating the affected masses.  On the directives of Zila Nazim, Sanghar, the SHWO CEO Miss Abida Cathic along with dozen of its volunteers had to roam in pouring rain and heavy water to every nook and cranny of district to support the needy people.  This gesture of help from SHWO has put itself into the hearts of common masses and come before society as humanitarian and human loving society established to ameliorate the down trodden masses.  The pictures taken throughout the emergency period are witness to the fact and self explanatory.
